A water feature is a rewarding part of a landscape. It brings a focal point to the landscape. Below are steps in building a water pond. Click on the picture to view the slideshow.

Layout.

Mark layout and shape of pond. It is a good idea to place the pond in a partly shaded area. A full sun area will have more algae problems. Also a location away from water runoff, with a slight grade.
